expedition that promises an unforgettable blend of culture, history, and natural beauty. Begin your
journey at Chennai International Airport, where your thrilling adventure kicks off. Cruise along the
picturesque Coromandel Coast, treating your eyes to the azure beauty of the Bay of Bengal.
Your first stop is Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage site steeped in history. Explore
intricately carved cave temples, monuments, and sculptures that narrate Hindu legends. Marvel at
the Shore Temple's beauty and visit Asia's largest sea shell museum.
Next, venture to Thiruvannamalai, home to the sacred Annamalaiyar Temple, a symbol of fire in
Saivism. Continue your expedition to Gingee, known as the "Troy of the East", and traverse its historic
fort complex. Then, immerse yourself in the French Colony of Pondicherry, where Tamil and French
influences blend seamlessly. Explore Auroville's sustainable living principles and visit the Aurobindo
Ashram. Journey to Tranquebar, a Danish colony with a rich heritage, and explore Dansborg Fort and
a local museum.

Discover the UNESCO-listed Airavatesvara Temple in Darasuram and return to Tarangambadi. Head

Madurai, visit the Meenakshi-Sundareswara Temple and explore the bustling market. Ride to

This UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts seven temples from the 7th and 8th centuries, gracing the Bay of Bengal's shoreline. Explore the enchanting Shore Temple, featuring shrines of Shiva and Vishnu. Then, discover Asia's most significant sea shell museum, the architectural marvel of the Five Chariots, and the awe-inspiring "Descent of the Ganges", depicting King Bhagiratha's prayer to Lord Shiva to bring the Ganges to Earth. Your guided South India adventure begins!

Mahabalipuram – Thiruvannamalai

After breakfast today, embark on an unforgettable Royal Enfield Adventure with Motorcycle Trails through South India's winding roads, adorned by lush rice plantations. Your destination: Tiruvannamalai's Annamalaiyar Temple, a Hindu sanctuary dedicated to Lord Shiva, nestled at the foot of Annamalai hills in Tamil Nadu. This temple holds immense significance for Saivism, symbolizing one of the Pancha Bhoota Stalas, representing the element of fire, Agni. Shiva is honored as Annamalaiyar or Arunachaleswarar, with a revered lingam known as the Agni lingam. Parvati, his consort, appears as Unnamulai Amman. This sacred site is hailed in ancient Tamil Saiva literature like Tevaram and Tiruvempaavai, making it a spiritual gem.

Thiruvannamalai – Pondichery

Its origins trace back to the Chola dynasty in the 9th century and underwent transformations under Kurumbar and the Vijayanagara Empire in the 13th century. The Gingee Nayaks, former Vijayanagara lieutenants turned independent kings, further expanded it in the 15-16th century. The fort then changed hands between the Marathas, Mughals, Carnatic Nawabs, French, and British. Explore this sprawling fort complex across three hillocks: Rajagiri, Krishnagiri, and Chandrayandurg, each with its citadel. The 13 km-long walls enclose an 11 sq. km area, sitting at an elevation of 800 feet, with an 80-feet-wide moat. Ascend the rocky hill track via a long flight of steps for a true adventure. Next, we'll continue to the charming French Colony, Pondicherry. This coastal gem boasts serene sea shores, mesmerizing sunsets at Promenade Beach, rich cultural heritage, historical sites, and a blend of Tamil and French influences.
